The Hyundai Veloster has been recognised for its remarkable safety technology, receiving top scores in the latest round of crash testing.
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) aims to provide independent and transparent information on the level of protection provided by cars in serious front and side crashes.
Supported by Australian and New Zealand governments and motoring clubs, ANCAP has introduced new higher safety standards, including the addition of pedestrian protection ratings.
ANCAP chair Lauchlan McIntosh was pleased with how the Hyundai Veloster sports car performed during the testing.
"This new model now increases Hyundai's range of 5 star rated vehicles and offers consumers better and safer choices in this sometimes overlooked vehicle category," he said today (February 3).
Most notably, the car scored full marks - 16 out of 16 - in the side impact crash test.
New to the Australasian market, the Hyundai Veloster features dual front airbags, side airbags and head-protecting side curtains as standard.
Should an emergency manoeuvre be required, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) featured in the Hyundai Veloster helps the car remain on track, while the Traction Control System (TCS) monitors grip and reduces wheel spin.
The Hyundai Veloster is now available at Peter Warren Hyundai dealership in Sydney. Visit the Hyundai dealership today to arrange a test drive.
