Hyundai Accent CRDi arrives

January 2012

South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has introduced Australia's most affordable diesel car to its line-up - the Hyundai Accent CRDi.

Available in hatch and sedan models, the diesel-powered Hyundai Accent boasts more power than its competitors, as well as comparable fuel consumption figures.

Powered by the marque's 1.6 litre common-rail direct-injected four-cylinder diesel engine, the Hyundai Accent CRDi delivers 94 kilowatts of power.

Lock-up torque converter, overdrive and driver style adaptation programming are also featured as part of the engine technology.

The six-speed manual hatch model has a fuel consumption of 4.5 litres per 100 km and this figure drops to 4.4 litres per 100 km in the sedan model.

The Hyundai Accent CRDi is available in three trim levels across the range - Active, Elite and Premium.

All three models come with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) and six airbags as standard - earning the Hyundai Accent CRDi a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

The Premium variants come with an additional rear view camera, rear park assist and electro chromatic rear view mirror with integrated reverse camera screen.
