Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai has delivered Australian cars buyers with an early Christmas present - the 2012 year-model update of the Hyundai Santa Fe.

The big seven-seater now offers a Down-Hill Brake Control (DBC) system and a handful of aesthetic changes, both inside and out.

Silver accents such as front and rear skid plates and tailgate garnish feature alongside a gloss-black finish to the roof racks and foglamp surrounds in the Hyundai Santa Fe Elite, while the Highlander variant also features new 18-inch alloy wheels.

One key safety feature for the Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander is the in-mirror rear view camera, which producers a live colour image appearing in an LCD display within the driver's rear-view mirror - making reversing safer and easier.

Standard safety features including electronic stability control - with traction control system - and driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags all contribute to the Hyundai Santa Fe's 5-Star ANCAP safety rating.

Engine options for the 2012 line-up remain unchanged, with Hyundai's 145 kilowatt R-Series 2.2 litre diesel engine featuring in both the six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Steering wheel mounted audio remote controls and air conditioning with pollen filter highlight the small details in the Hyundai Santa Fe that mean a comfortable drive every time.
